Dedication Ceremonies
of Wisconsin Historical Markers

Beginning in the mid 30s, the Wisconsin Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (WISSAR) began researching documentation and locating the final resting places of Patriots of the American Revolution, who in the twilight of their lives, moved with their adult children to the Wisconsin Territory and now rest among us in cemeteries throughout the state.

To date, WISSAR has documented the resting places of 40 Patriots, buried in 25 cemeteries loated in 18 Wisconsin cemeteries.
